David Barr is a dynamic thought leader and strategic operating executive with significant experience in accelerating growth and transformation, with specific industry experience in the consumer sector, franchising, retail foodservice, healthcare, multi-unit operations, and mergers & acquisitions.
David currently serves on a variety of boards of directors of public and private companies, both domestically and internationally, including in the franchise industry Domino's Pizza China, Chicken Salad Chick, Dogtopia, Checkers/Rallys, Capriotti's Sandwich Shops, OutWest Restaurant Group (largest franchisee of Outback Steakhouses), College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving and Rolling Suds. In addition, David's current board roles in the healthcare space are: Empower Aesthetics, Agentis Longevity and Brightview Health. David enjoys being a thought leader focused on strategic objectives that create shareholder value.
In addition to his board roles, utilizing his own private equity, Barr is Chairman of PMTD Restaurants and Affiliates, the owner and operator of 37 KFC and Taco Bell restaurants, 6 Capriotti's Sandwich Shops and 3 Spice and Tea Exchanges. Barr has also invested in various commercial real estate projects in Georgia and Alabama and various small private equity ventures along side the private equity firms for which he works.
Barr resides in the metropolitan Atlanta area.

Drawing on an early career in finance with Price Waterhouse, Pizza Hut, and Great American Cookies (where he served as CFO and later CEO) he brings both Wall Street discipline and operator experience to the companies he serves.
David has chaired the International Franchise Association and regularly engaged with congressional leaders and White House staff on legislation affecting small businesses and franchising.
He currently invests in and sits on the boards of multiple public and private companies in the U.S. and abroad, with a concentration in restaurant and consumer-facing concepts. Through his own private equity, he is also an active multi-unit franchisee across several well-known brands such as KFC, Taco Bell, Capriotti’s and Spice & Tea Exchange.
